Lilium lancifolium is the species lily known as the 'Tiger Lily' for over a century.
Formerly this lily from Korea and China was called Lilium tigrinum splendens which was a much better name for her. Because of this old name she also got the title Tiger Lily in Europe and America which fits her magnificent speckled flowers perfectly.
Lilium lancifolium is an exceptionally good lily for the garden that makes few demands on the type of soil and steals the show in any border with its colourful flowers.
