Lilium Apricot Fudge

This special lily is truly a gift from Mother Nature. Apricot Fudge just spontaneously appeared in a batch of lilies of the Salmon Classic variety at a grower of lilies for the cut flower market.

Until it started to flower everything seemed normal, but when the flower buds started to grow it became convex instead of elongated and the pistil and stamens started to emerge mischievously.

When the petals started to color and show elegant curls it became clear to the grower that he had something unique in his greenhouse. The beautiful lily was of course kept separate and a batch was grown as soon as possible.
