When autumn arrives, it becomes a fun and busy time. From September 21st, we start sending the ordered flower bulbs. But why so late? That is a question we get a lot. I thought that now was the right time to answer that.

We start sending bulbs on or around September 21st. We have been doing this since we started. Many people have spoken to me about this: other flower bulb companies are sending their orders much earlier. There are two reasons why we are later.

1. Your flower bulbs will give you the most pleasure if you plant them when the temperature really starts to drop, in the Netherlands that is not until October/November. My experience is that if people receive their flower bulbs in July, they either plant them immediately, which means the result in the spring is disappointing, or they put them in a place like the garage and forget to plant them afterwards. It is also possible that the place where they were stored did not offer the right conditions and that the flower bulbs suffer damage as a result. With us, they are always stored under ideal conditions, so that the quality remains completely in order.
   
2. It is also possible that we do not have all the varieties in at an earlier time, which means that we would have to make people with a more special order wait longer, or we would have to send their order to them in two parts. That is very inconvenient for both us and the consumer.

These two reasons were easy for us to solve by starting to send when autumn has arrived. This way the bulbs are optimally stored in the summer and you can plant them immediately when you receive them, so there is no risk of damage or forgetting.

The bulbs you ordered before September 21st will be delivered to your home within two weeks.
