Peony Victoire de la Marne

There is quite some discussion about the colour of this Peony, one says that it shows a pink hue, the other sees a kind of lilac purple. You don't understand anything. Just like its name, the victory at the Marne... for whom then? But as far as the colour is concerned, it is a special Peony, that 'purpler' photo in between I took in the evening sun around seven o'clock, the rest all during the day. Light intensity has a lot of influence on the appearance of this Peony. What else can be said about this Peony, well, its name is so-so, it doesn't really smell nice but I would really like to offer it because it is a good grower, and a reliable richly flowering Peony.
