One of the most famous pioneers in the Peony world, for over 100 years Sarah Bernhardt has been one of the most cultivated Peonies. Not only in the garden, mind you, also in the flower trade as a cut flower she probably fills the most vases in people's homes every year. She is one of the last flowering Peonies, often only after Pentecost, but she is more than worth the wait. She is good, healthy and extremely reliable. A small disadvantage is that after a few years, when she has settled in the garden, she does need some support during flowering. She also gives so many flowers, it can't really be otherwise.
