Peony Moonrise

Moonrise is a Peony that is closely related to the species Peony. According to the writings, it originated from a cross between the Paeonia albilora and Paeonia lobata, which grow wild in China. Its single Anemone-flowered flowers are not very durable, but as a plant as a whole it is really a beauty. Short and stocky with beautiful leaves and a very accessible and soft color that wanders a bit between creamy butter and a delicious piece of grass cheese.
