Peony Gardenia

An oldie but still oh so beautiful. When writing the texts for the many Peonies that we offer, I sometimes look at the site of The American Peony Society. An association of Peony lovers who share their Peony passion with each other. This is what they write about this beautiful Peony:

"Even before Gardenia was first shown in 1949, it was highly valued by peony experts. The perfect plants with strong stems, which hold the large flowers perfectly upright. Every year the plant is full of very large double, beautifully shaped Gardenia-like flowers. The shape, texture and substance of the flower suggest the name. To let it open well in the vase, you should cut the bud at a ripe stage and when you let it bloom on the plant, the bloom is a beautiful gigantic snow-white Peony with Gardenia flowers. In 1950 it won the CHAMPION RIBBON in the cut flower class. Good garden and show variety. You can win with Gardenia. Blooms mid season."
