Peony Coral Sunset

What is the most traded Peony? Was the question to a renowned Peony trader. Without thinking he answered 'Coral Sunset'. Really? Not Sarah Bernhardt or Festiva Maxima? I really thought that these old Peonies were sold much more. The Coral Sunset was in my opinion still a newcomer. So I was wrong, if this Peony is blooming in your garden next spring you can celebrate its sixtieth birthday with it. It turns out that this Peony is indeed the most sold Peony in both the flower trade and for the garden at the moment. Also understandable, whenever I see it, it is always beautiful. It is a bit on the long side but remains upright, its sturdy stems carry its large flowers with ease.
