Actually, I don't like it at all, but if you are a real tulip lover and are used to ordering tulips a bit later in time, I will still follow your lead a little.

Last week I said it already; the Tulips are not overflowing the basket. Now that we are a week further, and have a bit more insight into the harvest results, we see that we are confronted with enormous dropouts here and there.

No one can see into the future, but I would not be surprised if many beautiful Tulips that are grown on a limited scale by only a small number of growers will be gone quickly this year. There are even two Tulips that are already sold out in the Fluwel webshop. The harvest of these Tulips was so disappointing that we almost had to get down on our knees to at least get the number that you had bought so far. We just managed it, but there were no more bulbs available, they simply weren't there.

In the meantime, there are dozens of - somewhat more special - Tulips for which we had to adjust the stock downwards. The stock is really getting smaller than the quantities we initially thought we could sell.

If you are used to eating whatever is on the table and don't care which Tulip you see blooming in your garden next spring, there will certainly still be a Tulip available in October. However, a large number of the more special Tulips may well be sold out by then.

The tulips Graceland and Peptalk are no longer available, what will be the next one? It sounds far too aggressive to me to have to approach you in this way, it is as if I want to force you to order Tulips now. But on the other hand, if I don't say anything, you might come up with the comment 'couldn't you have told us that earlier?'

Fortunately, it still looks like the Daffodils will be fine this year, but unfortunately, even there, when it comes to our special Daffodils from our herb garden, I have to keep chasing you. Today, July 16, is the last day that you can order Daffodils in our Candy Store on our site. Tomorrow I will start cleaning, counting and selecting the first Daffodils from this collection and then I would like to know how many bulbs have been ordered and how many I have to keep back for you. That is why sales in the Candy Store will stop after tomorrow. Of course, all other Daffodils will remain available, we keep sufficient stock of them to continue selling until the fall.
