Diamonds are forever is something I often say in the spring when I walk with visitors past Rosy Diamond or her slightly darker sister Blue Diamond in our trial garden. They always bloom for a phenomenally long time.
I am crazy about these two Diamond tulips, and not just because of their enormously long flowering period. I think it is the simplicity and the classic shape of the regular double tulip in combination with the beautiful play of colors that the transparent petals display. As the flowers get older, a beautiful silver glow is also added, really enjoy these tulips.
