The Beautiful Epoque

My French is not that great so I googled this sensual name. La Belle Epoque stands for 'the beautiful era', the French mean the period before the first world war.

That wonderful time of building the Eiffel Tower, the first Tour de France, the first car, the first film and the first Can Can dance.

It is a fantastic name for this Tulip, but besides its name I especially find its colour magnificent. It starts blooming with fresh shades of peach, salmon and pink and during its blooming it changes colour to, as the English say 'in the nude' or 'in your nakedness' colour.

You really have to see her to know what I mean, she is truly stunningly beautiful. The colours that La Belle Epoque shows are also used by Victoria's Secret as a base colour for many of their lingerie lines; sensual colours.
