That was a nice surprise, flower bulb grower Ammerlaan from Anna Paulowna called me to ask if I wanted to come and see his Narcissus. Ammerlaan calls more often to come and see and he always has interesting and beautiful varieties so I quickly made an appointment.
But this time he really managed to surprise me. When we arrived at his nursery he showed me a large batch of a truly beautiful Narcissus. It is another species from your father he told me. Years ago I bought it from you as a very small batch and I would like it if you would be the first to sell it for us. And if I could think of a suitable name for this beauty.
A daffodil with such a tender appearance and refined color can only have one name: Tender Beauty.
Her soft appearance makes you think that Tender Beauty is a fragile narcissus but nothing could be further from the truth. She is a sturdy narcissus with large flowers of a size as befits a good large-flowered narcissus.
