Angel's Breath

She looks and has a name as if she were a delicate Narcissus that should be handled with velvet gloves. But nothing could be further from the truth, this fool belongs to the very best.

As a garden daffodil she won a so-called AGM at a very young age. An AGM is an Award of Garden Merit awarded by the Bulb Committee of the RHS in England. You don't just get this Award for free, you really have to prove yourself as a garden daffodil on the trial fields of Wisley Gardens.

Before that Angel's Breath already had a PC behind her name. This stands for Preliminary Commendation and is given to a new Narcissus if she looks promising as a show Narcissus. She has more than lived up to this PC, she is so beautiful that she has been voted best miniature Narcissus many times at the Narcissus shows.

I myself once won a first prize with her at the Rosemoor Show in Devon. The best miniature daffodil of the entire show with a beautifully engraved Whiskey glass as a prize. As you can see in one of the photos, things sometimes go wrong in our house ;-)
