It has been in the trade for almost 400 years and is still very popular to this day. I can understand it, because at the end of winter there is no flower that comes out with such a strong color.
Excellent for naturalizing, but leave the leaves alone. Other Crocuses can handle the occasional weeding or mowing, but the Golden Yellow is a late grower and needs its leaves to regain strength.
