"The Dutch bulb growers talk about the ‘Double Tete’ when they mean the Daffodil Tete Bouclé. Logical, because Tete Bouclé is a double form of the common Narcissus Tete a Tete. A bulb of Tete a Tete spontaneously changed into one with double flowers instead of single ones.
It happens more often that a bulb, out of the blue, changes into another shape or colour. In the plant world we call this a ‘sport’.
