Amaryllis Strong King

Another magnificent new Amaryllis from Bram van Staalduinen. Large flowers that show an astonishingly beautiful play of colours. It took some effort to give her a name, but it now looks like this beautiful Amaryllis will have to go through life as Strong King. Her first name was Winter Delight, after this name was not approved Bram gave her the catchy name Formidable… also rejected. Strong King it seems to be now, but for the moment I'll stick with Formidable, you never know whether Strong King will be approved by the naming committee.

But about the Amaryllis; in the pot in the living room Formidable is formidable, I would not be surprised if it grows into a large species in the future.
