Amaryllis Evergreen

Green flowers have managed to conquer a special place in my heart over the years. I know, you expect a flower to have color, even if it is white or black, but still ... green flowers have something too. The modest and natural look has something beautiful.

Evergreen is a fast and energetic Amaryllis, as soon as you put her in the warmth she starts to grow. She is therefore very suitable to let bloom as a dry bulb. If you put a bulb in a deep vase or put three of them in a bowl you will quickly be rewarded with her exotic flowers. With a small layer of water at the bottom of the vase or on the bowl, just enough to keep her roots wet, she will do a little better, but it is not really necessary.

Evergreen always blooms with the same ease and its green flowers always amaze me with their enormous durability. When the stems are growing, place it in a bright spot. The fast-growing stems tend to grow towards the light. Especially when they are against a dark wall, they can become quite crooked. This is much less the case when they are in full light.

If you see the stems growing crooked in the direction of the light, turn the pot half a turn every few days so that they start growing in the other direction again.
