The Allium atropurpureum is the queen of the night among the Alliums. Despite its dark shades, I always find it a pleasure to see its flowers. The almost black seed pods are surrounded by red-purple petals with the blue-purple stamens above them, a small color spectacle. Beautiful to plant loosely through the garden.
