In the Netherlands this exotic flower bulb is affectionately called the 'Powderbrush'. A very appropriate name for this beautiful bulbous plant.

Its ball-shaped inflorescence consists of hundreds of small flowers, the pistils and powdery pollens of which lie in countless quantities over the flower like a soft blanket.

The Scadoxus is easy to get into bloom indoors. Plant her - just like an Amaryllis - in a pot at a depth that her nose just sticks out above the ground. Give her love, warmth and water and within a few months you can enjoy fantastically beautiful flowers.
