Every year, the flower bulb growers in De Noord organize a flower bulb show in the sports hall of Breezand. It is an exhibition where the growers show their newest products to fellow growers and traders in flower bulbs.

In addition to showing the most beautiful flower bulbs, there is also a tough competition to set up the most beautiful stand. In addition, a professional jury also determines who has the most beautiful Narcissus, Tulip, Hyacinth, etc. Of course, everyone tries to look better than their neighbor.

No expense or effort is spared to display the flower bulbs as beautifully as possible.

Fluwel also has an entry together with fellow grower Jan Hein Rotteveel. Jan Hein and I have a lot of fun showing our Daffodils, Tulips and Crocuses as beautifully as possible.

Every day we spend hours cuddling the flowers so that they can be shown to the jury at their very best on the day of the opening.

Every year the show has a different theme, last year it was Paris and we were allowed to plant our flowers in the garden of the world famous 'Moulin Rouge'.

With the Can Can Dancer dressed in a daffodil dress, we managed to win the first prize for the best flower arrangement.

But besides all the competition to try to be the best, it is of course a show where conviviality prevails. Nice chat with fellow growers, a beer in the evening and in the morning at 8 o'clock back at the show to take care of your flowers. A wonderful week.

This year, Lentetuin Breezand is from Thursday 27 February to Monday 2 March. If you google Lentetuin Breezand you will find all the information. Who knows, we might meet there.

Kind regards,
