A bunch of daffodils on the table.
If, as a Daffodil lover, it takes a little too long for the Daffodils to bloom, you could consider going to Cornwall around mid-March, because spring always arrives a little earlier in Cornwall.

Picking daffodils
And Cornwall always treats its visitors to lots of Daffodils in the spring. There are a huge number of Daffodils grown there, many, many more than in the Netherlands and all to pick flowers from. You will see few flowering Daffodil fields because they are usually picked down to the last flower to end up in a vase with the English people. But wherever you drive or wherever you are in Cornwall there are Daffodils blooming somewhere on the verges or in the gardens.

Narcissus Von Sion
So you understand, every year around mid-March I can be found in Cornwall to enjoy the Daffodils . Always first to a flower show in Devon, Rosemoor Garden, and then quickly drive on to Cornwall.

Bunches of Daffodils

Narcissus Sissy
And where there are Daffodils , you can find Daffodil lovers. This is the nursery of Adrian Scamp, a Daffodil breeder with whom I often exchange Daffodils. For the English Newsletter readers, this is his webshop: https://qualitydaffodils.com/
Every spring I try to visit beautiful Cornwall, but of course I have to try and sell you a few bulbs too.

Lilium Viva la Vida (beautiful name, it means 'Live the Life')
Wednesday 23 March is the last day that the Lilies are available in our webshop. Most have already found a new home, the interest was again overwhelming, thanks for that. But the weather is getting warmer and it is time for the last Lilies to go into the ground. So if there is still something of your liking, now is the time. The Lilies that remain after Wednesday will be planted in pots and can be seen at Land van Fluwel this summer.
Zantedeschia Red Charm
The other summer flowering bulbs such as the Dahlia, the Zantedeschia, the Nerine and the like will remain available after Monday.
I'm going outside again soon, the sun is shining and everything is blooming. Enjoying it to the fullest.
Kind regards,
Carlos van der Veek
